About Me
Background
I’m a fully qualified, accredited Core Process Psychotherapist and a clinical member of UKCP and ACPP. I have my own private practice and have also worked with charities providing low-cost therapy.
My own experience as a therapy client showed me the transformative potential and power of psychotherapy, and inspired me to become a psychotherapist. My enjoyment of meditation and movement, dance and music developed my interest in the mind-body connection. I was drawn to train at the Karuna Institute where mindfulness, embodiment and compassion are at the heart of the ethos.
Experience
People come to therapy for different reasons — perhaps a general sense of dissatisfaction, sometimes a specific difficulty. Common issues I work with include:
Depression, low mood, feeling stuck
Anxiety, stress, fear
Loss, grief, life transitions
Trauma, abuse
Anger, rage
Relationship difficulties, family dynamics
Low self-esteem, body image,
Tension, chronic symptoms, fatigue
Code of Ethics
All clinical sessions are offered in line with the UKCP ethical framework and code of practice. I will treat you with sensitivity, dignity and respect and will protect your confidentiality and privacy.
