About Me

Experience

I have worked for a charity providing long-term low cost therapy to clients with a wide range of experiences, including:

Depression; anxiety;

Relationship difficulties;

Loss and grief; major life changes;

Stress; loneliness; low self esteem;

Trauma; abuse;

Identity challenges: including sexuality, gender and culture;

Addiction;

Body image difficulties; disordered eating.

I have also worked extensively with young people and adults who live with long term mental health conditions, in charity and community settings.

Background and Training

Before training as a psychotherapist, I worked as a creative professional. I am inspired by nature’s rhythms and ever-changing seasons, and value creativity as a catalyst for self-reflection.

My own therapeutic journey as a client inspired my interest in psychotherapy. Led by my developing practices of meditation, yoga and dance, I was drawn to the deeply embodied, compassionate ethos of the Karuna Institute, where I am a UKCP candidate in training.

Code of Ethics

My training organisation, The Karuna Institute, is a member organisation of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy. All clinical sessions are offered in line with the UKCP ethical framework and code of practice, as well as the Karuna Institute’s code of ethics. As a client, I will treat you with sensitivity, dignity and respect and will protect your confidentiality and privacy.
